- Tactile stimulation
- Encourage floor mobility with assisting to push with knees (one at a time)
- Encourage reaching at least to shoulder level to bat at toys when on peanut roll, etc.
Jodi also suggested that we look into using Lane County Development Disabilities Services, a Eugene based program where we would be assigned a case worker to help find resources to assist Davida, and that we consider using a stander to help Davida with weight bearing and strengthening her hips and quads.
Big appointments coming up for Davida are her EEG at CDRC, to look at her brain activity, and her visit with Dr. Goins, a neurologist, on March 20th.
Currently we are working on the following physical acivities with Davida:
- Hold herself up on all fours
- Sitting by herself...working on core strength
- Using a walker to walk
- Grabbing toys, etc.
- Taking food, toys , etc. to mouth
- Transitions into different positions (belly to sitting, etc)
- Using arms to catch herself
- Drinking out of a cut out cup
I'm sure I've missed listing many, but these are the main things that come to mind.
So glad to get updates! Thanks!
